Why Start a Garden Blog?
I’ve been growing veg for a while now, and I wanted a way to document the journey β what works, what doesn’t, and everything in between. Living in NE Scotland means:
- Late frosts β we can get frost well into May
- Short summers β but the long daylight hours are a real advantage
- Wind and rain β coastal Aberdeen doesn’t hold back!
- Surprisingly mild winters β thanks to the North Sea
What I’m Planning to Grow in 2026

How This Site Works
Every time I’m in the garden, I’ll dictate a quick update through my Microsoft 365 Copilot agent. It captures what I’ve done, which vegetables I’ve planted, grabs the current weather, and publishes it here automatically.
Check out the Planting Calendar to see when everything should go in the ground for our part of Scotland, and follow along as I tick them off through the season!
Happy gardening! π»
